The gift of tongues is first mentioned by Jesus in the Gospel of Mark and 27 more times in the New Testament

The apostle Paul references this as a gift from Holy Spirit for both the individual and the corporate church body

Given the scriptural significance and role this gift has for the body of Christ, one must ask themselves…

Why is this not discussed more in pulpits and teachings throughout modern day churches?

What is it about this and some other gifts of Holy Spirit that has so many leery to approach the subject

And why do many profess this went away with the early church of Jesus and is not relevant for the 21stcentury church?
